Richard G. Berger has joined Russo Development, LLC after approximately thirty (30) years of private law practice specializing in real estate development, business transactions and complex commercial litigation. Richard is a graduate of Tufts University where he received a BS Degree and of Temple University Law School where he received his Juris Doctor Degree. He was admitted to practice before the Bar of the State of New Jersey in 1974 and is currently admitted before the Courts in New Jersey, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the United States Court of Appeals, Third Circuit, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the United States Court of Federal Claims. Richard holds the highest rating (AV) from Martindale Hubbell, and served as a Chairman of the District Ethics Committee, Fee Arbitration Panel in Bergen County, New Jersey. Richard has been a guest lecturer before the American Bar Association annual meeting on environmental issues and military pollution, and before the National Business Institute on environmental due diligence in commercial and real estate transactions. He is a member of the Bergen County, New Jersey State and American Bar Associations, and also maintains membership in the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and Trial Attorneys of New Jersey. Richard has numerous reported cases in New Jersey State and Federal and Tax Courts. He left the firm which he co-founded, Schiffman, Berger, Abraham, Kaufman & Ritter, P.C. to focus on real estate development and environmental issues on behalf of Russo Development, LLC and its affiliated companies.
